Law Around Europe: the Urgenda Case
On behalf of ELSA München, Utrecht and Warszawa we have the pleasure to announce the second meeting from the “Law around Europe – Revolutionary cases from the Netherlands, Germany and Poland” series. During this webinar Martijn Scheltema will discuss the groundbreaking Urgenda case. At the end of 2019, the Supreme Court ruled that the Dutch State must reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 25 percent by the end of 2020 compared to 1990. Martijn Scheltema represented the Dutch State in the Urgenda-case and will tell us more about the importance and consequences of this ruling for society.
“A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity.”
